The book was given to every East-German 13- to 14-year-old youngster as a present for their Jugendfeier, a coming-of-age ceremony replacing Christian Confirmation and transformed by GDR officials into a communist rite of passage. A nice example of GDR ideology & propaganda.
Condition: good. Cover slightly stained. Pages somewhat yellowed, else a good copy.
