A fine copy of this catalog to Araki's first solo show outside of Japan. It contains over 100 photographs chosen by Manfred Willmann and Seiichi Furuya from Araki's vast oeuvre. Between 1971 and 1991 Araki had already published over eighty photobooks with cleverly edited photographic narratives.
This book and show helped Araki gain international recognition. Craigie Horsfield compared Araki to two other "obsessive" photographers: Larry Clark and Nan Goldin.
