RĂ©gnier (1864 - 1936) was married to Marie de HĂ©rĂ©dia, a writer in her own right and daughter of Parnassian poet JosĂ©-Maria de HĂ©rĂ©diapublishing under the pen name GĂ©rard d'Houville. He was a prolific writer, and member of 'Le Clubs des Longues Moustaches' whose members met to smoke cigars in Venetian cafe Florian.Â
