[1958]. Green faux leather photo album and scrapbook. , 25 x 20 cm approx. A 48-page souvenir album documenting Annemarie Stock's trip to Expo 58, the legendary Brussels World Fair, and the city itself.
Contains 16 black and white photos (8,5 x 8,5 cm) of Expo 58, 23 full-color postcards (15x10 cm approx.), 26 cut-out pictures, illustrations, and texts from a diversity of flyers and magazines, and 21 smaller full-color postcards (8,5 x 6 cm approx.) of the World Fair and the city. The smaller cards might have been cut from a Leporello.
Also contains Ms. Stocks's flight ticket with Aerotour. Deutsche Luftreederei AG. Hamburg from Hamburg to Brussels, issued May 11, 1958; a beautiful 50s style Aerotour luggage label; her entry ticket to the Expo; a small colored map of the Expo grounds; museum, tram, and bus tickets and even two very nice wrappers of Tirlemont/Tienen sugar cubes.
Hand-written captions in pencil and blue pen.
Beautiful and lovingly compiled documentation of the legendary EXPO 58 which, along with Interbau 57, the Berlin International Building Exhibition the year before, epitomized belief in technological progress in the post World War II period.
